Sorry I've had time to post recently. Trying to keep up with work, grad school and writing a book takes up mucho time. However, I will try and post once a week. I'm going to try and vary the posts between news/gossip clips and day to day rantings about my life. I need a place to vent so this will be the place. That's all for now.

What is the deal with the Beckhams

First yesterday they are seperating and now today they are dropping Brooklyn off for his first day at school. I think if she stayed with him through the whole Rebecca thing than she is not going anywhere. There is no way she is leaving now that she is pregnant. I can't tell how much of it is the press and how much is real. I think a majority is false but I think there is some tension in that household.
I will give David kudos for going to the school and walking his son into the classroom. What a great dad.
He could find another woman pronto to take the place of Posh. I don't think she would be as lucky the second time around. She would do well to stay and try to be a little nicer.

I feel as a fan of both Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck that I should comment on the rampant rumors of their coupling. I am all for it. Sure she's had a few bumps with whole divorce and dating the costar. It's time for her to move up to the big leagues. Ben is on the A list, while Micheal is hot he's still B as is her ex Scott. Lord knows Ben could use a nice girl in his life. Forget J.Ho and that skeazy Enza. I'm sure Ben's mom will love her. So I hope the hype is true and they are together. Good luck Ben and Jen! I'm sure you'll need it.

So The New York Daily News is saying it is true they are together.

Ben and Jen again

A celebrity pal of Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck tells me it's serious between the former "Dare-devil" co-stars.
The pair has been stepping out in Los Angeles on a series of discreet dates.
"He's been hanging around the set of 'Alias' a lot," says my source, who asked not to be named.
But what about the big question? Now that Ben's dating another famous Jennifer, what do we call the duo?
Says my spy, "Their nickname around Hollywood is 'BenGar.'"

I don't like the name BenGar. How about the nickname GarLeck! Sounds perfect!

A Little Bit of Everything

So here are soome interesting tidbits I found while shuffling through the world of the internet.

First, people can we get of The DaVinci Code already. That book is so yesterday. I read that thing last summer. Some people are spending there vacation in Paris retracing the novel People really need to get a life. It's fiction, you're really going to find anything.
A side note: Don't get sucked into The Rule of Four or Codex as the next DaVinci Code. Both books are lame.

Superman. They insist on reinventing the wheel. They are going forward with the new and improved Superman. Guess who The Post revealed as the new Superman. That's right Jesus Christ or as I like to call him Jim Caviezel. He was Jesus now he wants to be Supeman. I think it's too much for one man.

Since seeing Kill Bill Part 2, I thought it could have been one movie. Granted one long ass movie, but one movie. Now I see that the director Quentin agrees with me. Nice to know my voice is being heard.

Discovered a new website that reviews bad movies. Everyone needs a hobby.

I'm not sure why this is news, but Charlize Theron was injured in the set of her new movie. How tragic! Apparently the world will now be on hold as this pushes back all of her upcoming projects.

For the last item of the day, Ben Affleck. Someone had the great fortitude to build a blog dedicated to Ben Affleck. I applaud this person. You are a better person than me, but I will visit regularly. You are apparently a better person than Ben. He still has Jersey Girl promos on his site. Time to update!

ME: (nearly loses footing from laughing too hard) You're serious?

ME: OK, I'll try and remember to bring it...

So yeah, the same Corporation that made me piss in a cup to get hired is now asking me to bring my bong to the workplace and suck on it for the microphone.

Found this link on another site, can't remember which one. Strangely it's fun. My gaydar is not as good as I thought. I only got 60% correct. It said I was better at picking girls than guys. That's a little freaky.

I use Craig's List. It's not as well known in Cleveland as it is out in California, but I still use it. I like it because it's free and is user friendly. This month Wired has an interview with the master Craig himself. He seems very humble in this interview. Rumor has it that Craigslist will be the next Google IPO. Good luck Craig, you deserve it.

I used to like this show when Jillian was on it. First she left and now Lucie and they are being replaced by a nobody named Arthel Neville and the infamous ex-View girl Debbie Matenopoulos. This move has cancellation written all over it.

Debbie Matenopoulos and Arthel Neville are set to co-host the nationally syndicated morning program "Good Day Live" alongside Steve Edwards. Matenopoulos and Neville, who have regularly appeared as guest co-hosts on the strip over the past three months, will officially join the Twentieth Television-distributed program Aug. 30. Edwards co-hosted the show with Jillian Barberie and Dorothy Lucey. Barberie departed the show in June, saying she wanted to pursue other projects, while Lucey's last day as "Good Day Live" co-host will be Friday. "For the national 'Good Day Live' audience, we've decided to evolve the program so that it grows nationally with the addition of Arthel and Debbie," Twentieth president and chief operating officer Bob Cook said in a statement.

Harold and Kumar

So we saw another movie this weekend. No, not Collateral. Screw Tom Cruise and his Scientology rhetoric. Not sure who thought Jamie Foxx and Tom Cruise were a good mix. They should have had Will Smith. That would make sense, Will, Jamie and Jada. Now that movie I would go see. Back to the subject at hand, we saw Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle. Funny movie! Especially like the omage the writer paid to the best movie ever, Sixteen Candles. You have to see it to understand. It is well worth the six dollars.
There was a disturbing occurance at the concession stand. We went to a different theater than our normal Loew's. Loew's rocks! But this second rate theater wanted to charge $6 for pretzel bites. They also offered a combo. 2 Cokes and a large popcorn and a candy bar. They wanted $14. These people need to be stopped. I am not paying $14 for a combo. We didn't get anything. I pretty sure at Loew's we get the pretzels, a popcorn and a jumbo drink and it's about $11. Screw Regal!

Summer Slow Down

This always happens in August. The world decides to take a vacation and evrything stops. No good news, gossip , tv shows. Blah! That is why I have always hated having my birthday in August. It sucked not having a party at school. All the other kids got to bring in cupcakes and celebrate. Then if you tried to have a party, sorry everyone and their brother is on vacation the second week in August. Poor me! However I am a Leo. I couldn't imagine not being a Leo, I have all the characteristics of a Leo and many of my friends are Leos. It is said that only Leos can really understand other Leos. I find this statement to be true. We are a breed of our own. You know is a Leo. That's right my favorite guy Ben Affleck. His birthday is August 14, God Bless him. May the poker chip gods be with you.
Anyway may original point is that there is no good gossip today. No J.Lo sightings, no Britney drinking adventures, no Apple or Coco sightings. Happy end of summer!

The Village

Saw The Village on Saturday night. Was surprised by the $50 million reported today. Our theatre was not close to full at the 8:00 pm show. The movie was good, not great. Love Joaquin Phoenix and Ron Howard's daughter. It's always a reminder when I see Joaquin on screen of his very talented older brother. What roles River might have acted had he not suffered his early death. He will be forever young and always beautiful.
The plot to the movie was one of M.Night's easier twists. I figured it out before the movie showed the twist. Spoiler if you haven't seen the movie. The girl is blind and they send her to the medicine. All the references to close relatives being killed. It didn't take a genius.
Did anyone catch M. Night's close up in the film? Appartently he thinks he is Hitchcock. You have to be quick to catch him in this film. It is at the end of movie. I didn't catch it, but John did. Kudos to him!

Post-Convention

Now that the Democratic Convention is officially over, our friend and uber hunk Ben Affleck has decided to get on the bus, literally. That's right Ben is on the bus with Kerry and Edwards. Seems Ben has a gap in his schedule since dropping out of a movie in July. He was supposed to play a basketball coach who of course brings a team together and they win the championship. How original! Good move dropping out of that one. Josh Lucas took the part, he should stick with Reese Witherspoon, she could take him places. So anyway ben has a free schedule until his next movie with Rebecca Romjin-Stamos starts. Side note: How long will she keep the Stamos? Girls, lesson #1 never change your name. With 50% of marriages ending in divorce and the statistic is higher with newer marriages, why would you change your name? It just creates more paperwork after the divorce. Sorry long side note. Back to Ben and the campaign. It seems Ben wants to find out first hand what a campaign would be like first hand. My sister is suppose be at a rally today with a camera. If she gets any pictures of Ben I will post them. That will be a new learning experience.

Last night at the DNC John Edward gave a spectacutlar sppech using the message of hope. Isn't thta what this country needs, to believe in hope. He was a great speaker. Another blogger remarked after hearing Clinton's speech on Monday tha even though he had issues with Clinton it was nice to hear a speech of presidential proportions. The country is begging for real leadership and inspiration. Is John Kerry the man for the job? Maybe I'll give him the chance. He can't be any worse than GW. The people that back GW must have blinders on. The man is clearly ignorant. He is a daddy's boy who lucked into the White House.

Deep Throat Dies

Today is a sad day. Deep Throat died. The man thought to be the informant to the 70's Redford and Hoffman. The report says he died of natural causes. That will be contested by conspiracy theorist world wide I'm sure. He was sayiing in a hotel in Biloxi and a maid found him. NOw that is dead I wonder if he talking to Dick Nixon about the good old times they had in Washington in the 70's. If only they hadn't got caught. I bet D. Nixon thought that every day of his life. Paranoia will destroy ya. Well, good bye Deep Throat.

Linking to Ben Affleck

Ben Affleck is a favorite subject to practice my linking on. As he is constantly in the news. I know he claims he doesn't like the media attention, I think he does like it just a bit more than he is willing to admit.
Things that are great about Ben:
1. He finally got out from underneath that banshee, also known as J.Lo. But I hear her mother, Guadalope is not as happy as Jen about the split.
2. Rumors are flying that he may be hooked with Jennifer Garner. I called this hook up months ago. It may just be tabloid fodder, but it's still good stuff.
3. Jennifer is a definite step up from that Enza person. I hope she is in the past. Something not right about a girl's who's friends spread gossip like it's their job.
4. There is the politics. I gotta give it to the guy for sticking himself out there after the year he had. You go Ben! John Kerry is very lucky to have Ben on his campaign. He even interviewed Kerry's daughter for a chick magazine. He really need to get back to his day job.
5. O.K. so Gigli was a bomb. I did like Daredevil and Paycheck. I haven't seen the Kevin Smith movie, but I'm sure it's a cute movie. Don't count him out yet, he has a few more roles up his sleeve.
6. I got give the guy props for buying the rights to Dennis Lehane's book, Gone Baby Gone. This is one of the best books I have ever read. I pray to god Ben does not screw it up. This could make or break him. Please tread carefully and do this amazing book the justice it deserves. I'm sure Ben will ppour his heart into it. Good luck!

Moving to Los Angeles

I forgot to mention in my first post that I am inquiring about moving to L.A.. If anyone has any hint or advice now is the time to share. I can't just up and move because we own a house in Cleveland. Therefore to afford to move to sunny California we must sell beastly house in Cleveland for a huge profit. Ha Ha! First we must fix up said house to be able to sell to be able to move to L.A.. We do have a time line, would like to be in LA by Jan 2005. It just depends on if the house sells right away or if it will sit on the market for a few months. But I feel I must try and move forward so I am taking any tidbits about where to live and how to get a job in Los Angeles.

This is my very first post on my new webblog. Excellent!
I didn't get a chance to watch the Democratic convention last night as I have given up cable. I refuse to give money to the scam artists at Adelphia. Looking into getting a Dish. So far not really missing cable, like saving $60 a month. Anyway, I would have liked to have heard Bill Clinton's speech. He is a very charasmatic orator. I miss Bill Clinton as our president. I refuse to listen to George Bush try and speak. He is awful truly awful. How this man got elected I'll never know. Was the country on crack 4 years ago. If so, I hope we have gone through withdrawl and can see the world clearly now.
